Enjoy a free breakfast hosted by Bike Walk Macon, then join Macon+Bibb County Mayor Robert Reichert for a bike ride to the Macon Government Center.
As part of Macon Bike Walk Month, breakfast will be served starting at 7:30 am at Cherry Street Plaza (in front of the Terminal Station at 200 Cherry St.). With more and more individuals taking advantage of this healthy, sustainable, and economic means of transportation, the Mayor is leading a short ride that will leave at 8:15 am and wind through downtown. We’ll arrive at the Government Center (700 Poplar St.) no later than 8:45 am.
7:30 am - Complimentary pastries and coffee, commuter mingling at Cherry Street Plaza
8:00 am - Welcome from Mayor Reichert
8:15 am - Ride with us through downtown to the Macon-Bibb County Government Center.
Bring your bike, helmet, and appetite! The event is open to participants of all skill levels going to work, to school, to run errands, etc. The ride will be approximately 3 miles. You can just hop on your bike and join us for breakfast even if you’re commuting a different direction and can’t ride with the Mayor.
The ride is weather permitting; no rain date is scheduled.
