Macon Celebrates Biking, Walking, and Public Spaces at Streets for All Fest

From March 5–7, more than 250 people joined us for 13 rides, walks, and community events across Macon for this year’s Streets for All Fest. Throughout the weekend, neighbors biked through Downtown, East Macon, and Midtown, explored the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail, and gathered in public spaces - experiencing some of our city’s best locations.

Streets for All Fest celebrates the role safe streets and connected public spaces play in bringing people together and supporting Macon’s growing biking and walking culture. When streets are accessible and welcoming, they help lay the foundation for a city where people want to gather, explore, and belong.

Why Events Like This Matter

Streets for All Fest is more than a weekend of fun activities - it’s a glimpse into what Macon can become.

When people feel comfortable biking to dinner, walking with friends, or exploring trails that connect neighborhoods, our streets transform. They become a place that strengthens community connections, supports local businesses, and makes everyday life healthier and more enjoyable.

At Bike Walk Macon, we’re working toward a Macon where:

  • Streets are safe for people of all ages and abilities - no matter how they choose to get around

  • Trails connect neighborhoods and destinations

  • Public spaces are welcoming places to gather

  • And more people choose to live, work, and play right here in our city
