Killed While Crossing: A Town Hall on Pedestrian Safety

The discussion will center on “Killed While Crossing,” an award-winning investigative reporting project by State Affairs senior Statehouse reporter Beau Evans that examines pedestrian fatalities in Georgia and the related policy, infrastructure and public safety issues surrounding those deaths.

The Town Hall will bring together community members, policymakers, advocates and experts to discuss the report’s findings, explore potential solutions and consider how Georgia communities can make streets safer for everyone.

Macon Bike Party: Bikes + Frights Haunted Tour

Ready to get spooky on two wheels? We’re taking a slow roll through Downtown on October 8, hitting all the eeriest spots along the way. Expect creepy vibes, haunted sights, and maybe even a ghost or two. Costumes are basically the dress code and highly encouraged.

- When and Where: Bike Walk Macon office (830 High Street) at 6:00 PM. Before the ride, we’ll share city-cycling safety tips. Wheels are down at 6:15 PM and ends at Fall Line Brewing Co (567 Plum St) by 8:00 pm.
