NEIGHBORHOOD SCAVENGER HUNTS

In this time of isolation, Macon neighborhoods are coming together as a community to make walking or biking FUN. Some creative neighbors have put together fun projects that can be accomplished while social distancing and also admired while biking or walking. So far, these are the participating neighborhoods:

  • Ingleside Neighborhood residents are following a theme each week and adorning their windows and yards with items such as hearts and animals for bikers and walkers to admire. For April 2, the theme is Flowers, April 6 is Smiley Faces, and April 10 is Easter Eggs.

  • Shirley Hills is bringing the jungle into our city and placing fun animals around their neighborhood. We have it under good authority that the safari is best viewed from Jackson Springs, South Jackson, Oakcliff, Briarcliff, and near Highland Hills Baptist Church. Don't miss checking out their outdoor amphitheater and woodsy trails. See if you can spot your favorite safari animal!

  • Vineville is covered in bears! Take a stroll or bike and explore the Vineville Neighborhood to find the bears. Catch the most bears on Buford, Calloway, and Clayton Streets.

Social distancing rules apply in every neighborhood. And remember to wash your hands when you get home. Stay safe and have fun!
