Macon Bike Walk Month is Here - Let’s Roll!
Ditch your car, grab your bike, and lace up your sneakers - May is Macon Bike Walk Month, and you’re invited to join the movement! Bike Walk Macon is celebrating with a full month of free community events that showcase the joy, ease, and impact of biking and walking in our city.
Whether you're an everyday commuter, a weekend walker, or just curious about how to get more active, this is your time to explore Macon on foot or by bike and connect with others who want to build a safer, healthier community.
Why Celebrate Bike Walk Month?
Walking and biking aren’t just fun - they’re powerful tools for environmental sustainability, public health, and stronger neighborhoods. When you choose active transportation, you’re helping to reduce emissions, promote safer streets, and improve your own well-being.
Plus, Macon Bike Walk Month is a great chance to get involved with Bike Walk Macon’s mission to make our streets more accessible, equitable, and people-friendly.
